South Mississippi Housing Authority acquires goods and services on behalf of the authority. The procurement department is charged with conducting procurement processes in a fair, open, and competitive manner while serving as a conservative steward of public funds. The procurement team cultivates and maintains good relationships with vendors and manages the acquisition process in a compliant and efficient manner.

Anyone interested in purchasing equipment no longer used by SMHA, or other agencies across the country, should point their web browsers to www.govdeals.com. There, you can bid on the items offered for purchase.

Doing Business with SMHA
As a public agency, SMHA must perform all purchasing of goods and services in accordance and compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 24 Part 85.36. You may access these regulations here (link to regs). SMHA adheres to policies that meet or exceed the federal regulations.

New Vendor Information:
All vendors will need to provide a current W9 and ACORD insurance form showing SMHA as a certificate holder in order to be set up as a new vendor with SMHA.

ALL companies that do business with SMHA must be registered in the SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT(SAM).

Workers' Compensation is a requirement in order to be awarded a contract with SMHA.
